Katie's Birthday Party Pics........

We had a small first Birthday party with Both sets of katie's Grandparents. :) It was so nice to get to spend time with all of them. :) Here are some photos from the party last Saturday........

I snapped these as we were getting ready to leave to go to my parents house for the party. :)

The lighting wasn't very good on this one, but I LOVE her sweet smile. :)

The Grandmas on the tractor! :)

Our little sweetie:

Kaylee was trying to get Katie to touch the grass. She wanted NOTHING to do with that. :) It really upset her. She didn't like the feeling of it on her little toes. :)

Here she is giving Kaylee a BIG hug to try to get her to rescue her from the green stuff. :)

Karissa made this cake for Katie. It looked so good. It had chocolate mousse filling and a chocolate cream cheese frosting. The cake was a white cake from Katie's Great-Grandma's old cookbook. I wish I could have tried it, but it wasn't Gluten-Free. :(

Katie wasn't really happy about sitting in her new High Chair. :( She also wasn't too sure about this immense slab of cake sitting in front of her. :)

This picture cracks me up. She sat there staring at all of us with this expression for quite some time. I wish I knew what she was thinking. :)

Here's that serious look again. :)

Getting some help from Big Sister, Karly!!! :)

Look at that sweet face. :)

This is my all time favorite picture from the day! :) She had just took a clump of cake and leaned over and dropped it on the floor, then she gave us that cute, mischievous, little grin. :)

Sorry for all these cake photos. I'm sure you are hoping there aren't more. :( I am SO SORRY to do this to you, but I just have a few more favorites. Can you believe this is only a very small fraction of them? :)

Here she is doing the sign for "All Done." :)

Katie with all of her Grandparents:

Here is Katie opening her presents. :) I love the ones with the card. Isn't it funny how you can give them a present at this age and they seem more excited over the box, the wrapping paper, or the cards? :) Katie hugged the card and carried it around on her head. :) She had fun playing with it in the funniest and most creative ways. :) It cracked me up. :)

Here she is rocking and snuggling the card: :)

Now the card has become a hat. :)

Did I ever tell you how much I love this precious, little miracle??? :)

If you made it all the way to the bottom, you are full of patience. :) Thank you so much for letting me share Katie's Birthday pictures with you. :)

Bye!!! :)

Passover Seder/ Hebrew Dancing

We feel so blessed to be a part of the church that we attend. We just adore our main Pastor & his family. They are just such a wonderful family. They spent some time living in Israel quite a few years ago & we are always interested in hearing them share stories from their time there. This past Thursday, they held a Traditional Jewish Passover Seder. We were glad the kids were feeling better so we were able to attend. It was a very interesting night & a great learning experience for all of us. :) If you don't know what a Seder is, it is a Jewish ritual feast that is held during Passover. It is much more than just a feast. If you would like to learn more about it, here is a link that goes more in detail:

Sadly, we didn't get any pictures during the Seder. I didn't want to be distracting....I should say that I didn't want to add to the distracting we were already doing. :) I actually had to run Katie out a few times when she decided to sing for awhile and then when she decided to get tired of sitting. :( John did get some fun pictures of the Hebrew dancing the kids did afterwards. We all had a great time. :) We hope they do it again next year.

Here are a few of the dancing photos:

Last Weeks Update

Well, we STILL had a sick little baby and three of the big girls ended up getting colds. They were feeling tired and run down for most of the week, so we didn't get a ton of school done. :( We just did a little math this week while they felt icky. Our new books that I ordered got here (Woooooohooooooo), so we will have them to start using this coming week. :)

Here's poor, little Katie feeling icky. Look at her rubbing her little nose:

Here are a few Highlights from this past week:

The biggest highlight was that Khloe learned how to ride a two wheel bike. :) We store all the girls bikes at my parents house and they try to ride when we go over. Well, while we were at their house, trying to get some Birthday pictures of Katie last Saturday, Khloe practiced pretty much the entire time we were there. We were so proud of her!!! :) She just kept on trying until she got it. :) It was so cute. She said, "I kept on trying and I persevered just like in the turtle unit." It is so great that she remembers everything she learned in MFW K. :) Here are some fun photos from her learning to ride her bike at my parents house:

Look at her go! :)

Last Sunday, the girls made a little house out of a High Chair box. Katie thought it was pretty cool. They all had a great time in it until I took it away because they were fighting over it. :(

Katie got to see her first frog. Somehow, the little critter ended up getting inside our house. (He probably rode in on Isis's Back. Isis is our Saint Bernard). The girls were so excited to find it INSIDE the house. Karissa sat with Katie & kept an eye on her with it, for their protection. (Katie's & the frog's). :) Don't worry....no frogs were harmed during the taking of these photos. :)

Katie started singing & rocking her Babies a few weeks ago. It is so adorable!!! :) She just LOVES them & is so gentle with them. She also gives them sweet kisses & bounces them gently. I had to include a few pictures of her doing this. :) Here she is last week rocking & singing to her little Glow worm:

Katie painted for the first time. :) This was actually taken on her Birthday. She LOVED painting! :)

By last Thursday, everyone was feeling much better (praise the Lord) so we were able to go to an interesting event that our church held. I will post that separately. We also celebrated Katie's Birthday last Saturday, so I will do a separate post for that, too. This one is getting a bit long. Sorry. :)

I just have to include this picture of our littlest two from a couple of nights ago:
